Foundation "Vida Art" offers participation in the organized by itself planners, exhibitions and presentations.
Planners
The foundation organizes planners, which are taking in north-west Bulgaria. Especially attractive for the artists is the variety of the natural landscape, preserved unique ancient architecture and the wonderful climate.
The planners are taking by small groups from 10 to 12 people, which creates opportunity for creative athmosphere and delivers to the organizers to get maximum attention to every participant. The duration of the planners is two weeks and for that time the guests may take place in excursions organized by the foundation. Planners are taking with the participation of bulgarian artists – Chavdar Petrov, Veselin Natzin and others. There are also master – class, visits in the studios of vidin artists and meetings with young creators. In the end of each planner the foundation organizes exhibitions, which are usually transformed in cultural event, and they spread widely in the medias. For the new season the foundation foresees joint planners with artists from different countries. We hope after participation in our planner that you will find many new friends and you will take with you the unique spirit of our region.
The program of the planner includes visitations and excursions to all cultural, historical and natural sight-seeings of the region:
Vidin – one of the oldest towns in Bulgaria. Here you can find many historical, cultural and architectural objects.
- The medieval castle "Baba Vida" - the only completely saved stronghold in the country, is one of the allegory of the town. Created like romanian stronghold (III-IV), later it is center of an area in Dunavian Bulgaria. It reaches its growth at the time of Bdin kingdom, when the town is important trading and church-cultural centre. Today guests can see the stronghold in a way that used to be in these distant times.
- The house museum “Konaka” – here it is the exposition of the Historical Vidin museum; “Krastata kazarma” – it is a monument of the architecture with its cross-shaped form, and inside it’s located ethnographical exposition; The Mosque – the only mosque with heart but not half-moon at the top like the bridge between islam and christianity; The library of Osman Pazvantoglu
- Churches of seventeen century – “Saint Panteleimon” – national cultural monument and “Saint Petka”, “Saint Martyr Dimitrii”, where guests can enjoy the wonderful frescoes
- The Great Danube and the artistic town garden by itself.
Belogradchik – it arises around the Belogradchik stronghold (I – III c.), it’s role grows at the Bdin kingdom when it is an important garrison settlement, The town is located by the unique mountains and it is very attractive.
The program of the planner includes visitations of:
- Belogradchik stronghold created by the romanians, who used it for guarding roads. It is one of the latest bulgarian strongholds occupied by turks at the end of the forteen century. The stronghold is located by pathless mountains and is a monument of the culture with national matter.
- Astronomical observatory – can observe the Moon, the ring of Saturn, sattelites of Jupiter and etc.
- The art gallery is disposed with over 180 canvases – engraving and art of painting, works of “The Master”, Stoian Venev, Ivan Hristov and others.
- The historical museum is at the Panovian house, the exposure presents the history of the ethnographic group of turks.
Belogradchik mountains – this rocky tale is spreading from peak Vedernik to peak Belotintzi. The region is long about 30km and 3km wide, and a lot of the mountains are connected with interesting legends.Belogradchik mountains are unique natural sight-seeing, yearly visited by thousands of tourists. They are especially interesting to the artists.
Bulgarian villages – visitations of artistic places
Magura cave – one of the few caves in the world, where are found prehistoric paintings dating from the period of the neolith. The visitors can also see wonderful objects inside the cave.This mysterious cave is about 3km long.
Monasteries – Rakovian monastery “Saint trinity”, Mountain monastery nearby Gradetz village.
Foundation "Vida Art" takes a part of the expenses for the planner.
